More Cows! and More and More and Moooore Cows

Our adventures in finding all the Cows in the Austin Cow parade are still going on! It has turned out to be something all 3 of us look forward to. To quote another friend who took his 3 little one's on a 3 hour cow hunting adventure "It's a great way to be a tourist in your own city"
I was shocked when I pulled up the web site to find back in August that there were 49 cows. Well now it's up to 79! It's time we take this adventure on the road and start exploring by car! In the mean time here are a few more cows we have found!

Crazy J joined us for these 2 cows!

Cow Parade Austin 2011

Who needs Where's Waldo Austin has Cows to find!

Partnering with the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, CowParade Austin will display between 100-150 cow sculptures all around town. Local artists were invited to submit their proposed cow artwork and were selected by the Cow committee. (How fun would it be to be on the cow committee!)The cows will be on display from late July through mid-October.
A select number of cows will be auctioned off and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas and Superhero Kids Fund. The auction gala is Scheduled for Sunday, October 30, 2011.

Miss C thinks this is Awesome to find the cows so we are going to challenge ourselves to take our picture with each cow! I see this as a fun scavenger hunt where I might can slip in a math lesson or two, expose ourselves to local artiest & will get us out and about different parts of Austin. Even after 12 years I never get tired of exploring the different neighborhoods.
